Top Thrill Dragster is a "Rocket Coaster". What's a Rocket Coaster? A rocket coaster is a coined term for a sit-down roller coaster, through the use of hydraulics, launches the coaster's trains to reach a desired speed within seconds. Currently, only one rocket coaster is in operation: Xcelerator at Knott's Berry Farms, Cedar Point's sister park.
